The challenge wouldn’t be complete without a roundup and the photo above was taken in Montana as this cowboy and his dog moved some cattle to the other side of the highway via an under pass.
As this is also a reflections post, here are my thoughts. I loved searching out the best photos I had taken and filtering them to black and white. Most seem to go over well, even with other photographers. As I have always said, take enough pictures and some will be winners.
Will I do this again? Probably not. But then again, I will be spending two months on a European vacation this fall, so who knows? That might be the perfect fodder for 2024!
I hope you had fun viewing my photos – note these were all taken in color and manipulated into black and white for this challenge.
Here’s my final list – click to view any of them!

Congratulations on finishing the A to Z – here, too! I didn’t register that you’re the same person doing two blogs.

It was enjoyable seeing your photos. I keep thinking “I will experiment with B&W” (never mind that almost all my childhood photography was in B&W – I’m that old) and then I never do. You did it! Congrats. Alana ramblinwitham
I grew up with a Kodak brownie and B&W. It has been fun to see what photos translate into B&W after being taken in color. I will be continuing that on Silent Sundays starting in June. Thanks for stopping by & looking!
