G’day Donna,
I had to zoom in on the image to realise he only had a small tongue. What I thought was his tongue was the piece of wood on the tree instead.
Believe it or not, I did the same thing when I picked the photo!
Dining at Animal Kingdom is definitely a favorite of mine!
I’d love to be able to afford to stay there – such a treat!!
Such a gentle being! And to be able to see it from so close, how exciting!
I could like at Animal Kingdom lodge in Disney World. It was amazing!
I don’t know if you remember April the Giraffe, the Internet sensation of 2017 whose last weeks of pregnancy were watched by millions online – anyway, April lived about 20 minutes from me and I was able, that summer, to visit her and feed her. No, I didn’t get to dine with her but how many of us have fed a giraffe? I got into giraffes for a while (even bought a fabric purse with a giraffe print) and adored your picture. Alana ramblinwitham
I do remember April and wow, what an absolute treat that was! Thanks for sharing the memory.
What an amazing shot, Donna!
Thank you! Animal Kingdom was so great…
Beautiful! Our local zoo does a sleepover experience where you can feed the giraffes. It is on my “bucket list”
Wow – they are such gentle, graceful, giants.
Sometimes it is hard to believe that giraffes are a real thing… 😀
Love the vertical shapes in this photo!

Thank you…
