Where do I go from here?

Now that the 2023 April A to Z Blog Challenge is finished, I need to decide where to go with this blog. It’s always hard to start a new blog and when I started this a year ago, it never really took off. I had high hopes of the challenge gaining me a few followers.

I did get a few – I think. But is it worth my time to try to post daily? I have books that I need to finish, books with deadlines.

For the month of May, I think I will try to join in this challenge. Yikes! Watch for May 1 & 2 later today.

In the future, my thought is to have a couple of weekly theme days. Here’s what I have selected:

Silent Sunday – Black & white photo with caption only
Wordless Wednesday – Color photo with caption only
Freeday Friday – Any photo with more information about when/where/why it was taken

What do you think? Love to hear some thoughts…

  1. Hi Donna,
I am amazed by those bloggers who can post every day. My main blog is family history and often a lot of research is needed for just one post every month. But I did enjoy the A-Z challenge with images instead of lots of research.

I think your themed days sound great and will give you time for the rest of those things that happen normally in life.

    1. Thanks, Sue. I have made my graphics and templates for those days. Now to do a couple ahead of time. Today is social media schedule day. I have an app for that…LOL!

  2. At one time I had two blogs (one I didn’t share publicly on social media) – I am amazed at someone who can keep up four blogs. To me that’s like juggling swords and chainsaws! I would say, if this blog doesn’t bring you joy, let it go. Concentrate on the blogs that bring you the most joy. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. Unfortunately, this one has to stay since it’s my author blog. My others all bring me joy – just not enough hours in the day!
