Freeday Friday – a photo with explanation and information.

Taken in Yellowstone National Park on my first visit there. There were a lot of elk enjoying the bright sunny day. You can see a lot of down ed and burned trees from the previous wildfires. I was on my way Red Lodge Montana for the Memorial Day weekend, the only time I had made hotel reservations during all my 2005 motorcycle trips.

  1. We’re in Yellowstone right now for our first visit. We planned a two week stay because we knew we were not going to be able see everything in one day. We saw elk laying around on some limestone shelves. It was pretty cool!
